Quel accueil à notre arrivée !

Nous sommes très heureux de rencontrer Jill et Ian (connaissances d’Alex depuis une rencontre à Carcassonne quelques années auparavant).

Nous avons des hôtes hors pair qui vont prendre le plus grand soin de nous pendant une semaine.

Nous sommes vraiment très touchés par cet accueil plus que chaleureux et par toutes ces attentions à notre égard…

Dès notre sortie de l’aéroport, direction Sydney centre et l’incontournable opéra. Il est 7h00 et nous prenons notre petit déjeuner au pied de ce monument célèbre. Ça commence vraiment très bien !

Nous allons faire la connaissance d’une partie de la famille. Pénélope, leur fille, est là avec ses 3 adorables filles. Nous passons une après-midi familiale au bord de la piscine.

Dès le lendemain, Jill et Ian nous amènent faire un petit tour dans le « bush » australien (forêt) à la rencontre de nos premiers wallabies. Après une petite balade avec des arrêts toujours plus beaux les uns que les autres, nous faisons une petite traversée en ferry autour de Sydney.

Partout nous sommes très impressionnés par la présence d’une faune incroyable.

Autour de la maison, il y a des cacatoès qui volent d’arbre en arbre, des perroquets multicolores et des kookaburras.

Avant notre départ pour Jervis bay (à 3h au sud de Sydney), nous faisons un tour au koala parc, histoire d’être sûr de croiser ces jolis animaux au moins une fois. Il est très difficile de les voir en pleine nature. 

What a welcome upon our arrival!

We are very happy to meet Jill and Ian (knowledge of Alex since a meeting in Carcassonne a few years before).

We have outstanding hosts who are going to take the biggest care of us during a week.

We are really very touched by this welcome more than warm and by all these attentions towards us .

From our exit of the airport, direction Sydney centers and major opera. It is 7:00 am and we have breakfast at the foot of this famous monument. That begins really very well!

We are going to get acquainted with a part of the family. Pénélope, their daughter, is with her adorable 3 girls there. We spend the family afternoon at the edge of the swimming pool.

From the next day, Jill and Ian bring us to make a small tour in the Australian "bush" (forest) for the meeting of our first wallabies. After a small stroll with stops always more beautiful some than the others, we make a trip crossed in ferry around Sydney.

Everywhere we are very impressed by the presence of an incredible fauna.

Around the house, there is cockatoo who fly from tree in tree, from multicolored parrots and from kookaburras.

Before our departure for Jervis bay (at 3 hours in the South of Sydney), we make a tour to the koala park, just to be sure to cross these attractive animals at least once. It is very difficult to see them in the forest.
